The System, How It Works

Once you have decided on a security system and the number of cameras to mount around your home at intervals, we will wire the cameras together to create your security network. The cameras will send digital images to a recorder, where the information is stored for a period of time.

We can often use CAT5 wire to string the cameras together. The recording device you purchased has 4, 8, or 16 channels to record information, so you will never be inundated with information.

The recording options available on the market are as varied as buying a colour TV, but make sure you opt for quality over price when determining what you want. Seven days is the rule of thumb when deciding how long to save video footage.
